SEAIR SUPPLIES DIFFUSION EQUIPMENT FOR AIRDRIE SEWAGE PROCESSING
Edmonton, Alberta, January 14, 2008. Seair Inc. (SDS:TSX Venture Exchange) is pleased to announce the sale of a Seair 400i diffusion system to be installed in a new lift station being constructed in the city of Airdrie, Alberta. The Seair system will be used to dissolve oxygen gas that will in turn reduce odor, hydrogen sulphide (H2S) levels and keep sewage influent aerobic as it is carried via a forcemain from Airdrie to the city of Calgary's wastewater sewer system. The aerobic state is maintained by virtue of the high dissolved oxygen levels achieved with Seair's patented diffusion technologies.
Harold Kinasewich, President and CEO of Seair states "the Airdrie project is just one of many ways that Seair technology can be used to improve existing wastewater processing facilities. Maintaining an aerobic state reduces treatment needed when sewage enters the Calgary system, which in turn allows that system to handle greater volumes without infrastructure changes."
Seair's waste treatment systems range from a variety of solutions that increase the capacity, reduce operating and capital costs and expand the scope of treatment for existing treatment plants to complete end-to-end processing using Seair's unique oxygen and ozone-based waste water treatment process. The efficiency of the Seair diffusion process reduces the economic and operational barriers that currently exist when injecting gases, such as oxygen and ozone, in large scale wastewater treatment systems.About Seair
Seair is a leading developer of patent protected diffusion and sterilization technologies which allow for the efficient diffusion of gases into a liquid, thereby facilitating numerous applications in a wide variety of industries including wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, food processing, aquaculture, agriculture/horticulture, sterilization, golf course irrigation and pond treatment, animal enhancement and oil and gas. Seair's primary focus is developing and selling equipment that diffuses gases, such as oxygen, ozone or carbon dioxide, into a liquid, resulting in a supersaturate solution. The major difference between Seair and other diffusion technologies is Seair's ability to achieve extremely small bubble size, which in turn allows for the mass transfer of gas to fluid. The result is a stable condition where gases remain in solution for extended periods of time, leading to increased productivity and lower operating costs. Seair provides diffusion-enhanced portable wastewater treatment plants through its subsidiary, Seair Septic.
