SEAIR TECHNOLOGY TAKES PART IN CITY OF CALGARY'S PILOT PLANT pH ADJUSTMENT TRIALS
Edmonton, Alberta CANADA, October 27, 2005 /FSC/ - Seair Inc. (SDS - TSX Venture), is pleased to report the sale of a Carbon Dioxide Diffusion System to The City of Calgary. This system is designed to experiment with pH adjustment on a pilot scale in the permanent pilot facility at the Bearspaw Water Treatment Plant. The SEAIR unit will be installed at the facility for ongoing research into process optimization in an effort to reduce operating costs and minimize chemical usage.
This sale for a pH control Diffusion System defines another utilization for the pH application successfully developed for Golf Course water management systems that also has many other global applications in various industries that involve water processes for cooling tower and boiler systems in refineries worldwide.
According to Harold Kinasewich, President and CEO of SEAIR, "The sale of equipment to the City of Calgary Bearspaw Water Treatment facility for pH control reflects another dimension to the many applications of our technology. One that should give consumer confidence to municipalities which are realizing the immediate demand for energy efficient ways to upgrade their existing Municipal Potable and Wastewater treatment plants. Whether it's our Oxygen Diffusion System which reduces the need for high energy consuming blowers, SEAIR's CO2 Diffusion system for pH control that reduces or eliminates the uses of chemicals and acids injected into the water, or
our Ozone Diffusion Systems designed to eliminate harmful bacteria and diseases, SEAIR's versatile Diffusion Systems are poised to be a world leader in water treatment."
SEAIR also wishes to make an amendment to its press release of September 29, 2005 that stated an incorrect option grant price of $0.33. The options were granted on August 26, 2005 at $0.35.
SEAIR is a leading developer of proprietary diffusion and sterilization technologies. These patent pending technologies allow for the efficient diffusion of gases into a liquid, thereby facilitating numerous applications in a wide variety of industries, including potable and waste water treatment, pulp and paper, aquaculture, agriculture/horticulture, sterilization, golf course irrigation and pond treatment, animal enhancement and oil and gas. SEAIR's primary focus is developing and selling
equipment that diffuses gases such as oxygen, ozone or carbon dioxide into a liquid, resulting in a supersaturate solution. The major difference between SEAIR and other diffusion technologies is the ability to achieve extremely small gas bubble size, which in turn allows for the mass transfer of gas to fluid. The result is a stable condition where the gases remain in solution for extended periods of time, leading to increased productivity and lower operating costs.
