SEAIR meets International Patent tests
Edmonton, Alberta, December 2, 2003. SEAIR Inc. ("SDS" on the TSX Venture
Exchange) is pleased to announce that the company recently received notice that all 17
claims of the SEAIR diffusion technology patent application has been declared to have
met the International Patent tests regarding novelty, inventive step and industrial
applicability. As a result of this ruling SEAIR is now able to enter into the “National
Phase” of its patent application process to complete the registration of the SEAIR patent
in any or all of 120 countries worldwide as SEAIR deems appropriate. This ruling by the
International Preliminary Examination Report based in Munich, Germany is a critical
ruling in favour of SEAIR and its pursuit in obtaining worldwide patent protection for the
SEAIR Diffusion Technology. SEAIR management will be meeting with the SEAIR
Patent Counsel to determine its next course of action in relation to the patent application
process.
SEAIR is engaged in the development, manufacture and sales of its proprietary diffusion
and sterilization technologies with applications in various industries throughout North
America and globally. The Corporation is currently actively involved in the North
American Greenhouse industry within which it has been successful in the implementation
and sales of its greenhouse nutrient diffusion and oxygenation technology. Further
applications, such as aquaculture oxygenation, aquaponics oxygenation, an
environmentally benign sterilization process, bio-remediation system and an animal
enhancement oxygenation system are being developed and tested.
